Respected Principal, Vice-Principal, Excellencies, teachers and teachers and my dear friends, good morning to all of you. I want to give a speech on the topic of travel and tourism in India. As we all know, our country is one of the oldest countries in the world.
It is full of fascinating tourist places including fascinating historical places, traditional sites, mystical places in various Indian cities that make India famous all over the world for travel and tourism. People from different places all over the world come to India to visit, see and tour the beautiful places. They go back to their cities and write stories in their own words about the historical places of India. They admire about the historical places of India in their country and promote tourism in India.
Architecturally and culturally, India is one of the most famous countries in the whole world. Here, due to the presence of different religions, diversity is found in the whole country in clothes (clothes), food habits, culture, tradition, language, standard of living etc. That’s why people are excited to see India at least once in their life. India is the perfect place to witness historical and peaceful scenery.
India is the most populous and multicultural country, however, it is also famous for unity in diversity. India has famous leaders all over the world like; It is the motherland of great men like Mahatma Gandhi, Gautam Buddha, Rani Laxmibai, Ratan Tata etc. India has fully developed cities, historical heritage, monuments, and other places of interest like; The elements of tourism are considered to be the icons of India’s tourism, like the Taj Mahal, the Himalayan hills, the tigers of Bengal etc. Goa and Kerala have many famous beaches (with long coastline) for those who prefer beaches for sun tourism in India.
Those who love to see unique things can go for tours to the temples of Khujraho in India which holds splendid art to tell the history of India from the early medieval period. Various interesting and entertaining seasonal fairs, festivals and events are regularly organized in India which, in fact, win over the hearts of the people. My good morning to the respected principal, vice-principal, respected guests, sir, madam and my dear colleagues. my name is. I am studying in class ………. I would like to take this opportunity to deliver a speech on travel and tourism in India. India is very famous for travel and tourism due to the availability of life of its diverse religions all over the world.
Our country is full of historical heritage, sites, historical monuments, beautiful, sightseeing tours etc. which makes India the best tourist destination. Tourism for India is a source of economic income for the country and the lives of many people depend on it. Due to technological advancement everywhere, tourism has become very easy for any country. People are interacting to a great extent on natural and historical sightseeing in India. Due to improving technological advancement all over the world, purtan has become a fast growing business all over the world.
It brings a lot of benefits in various ways however, sometimes big challenges affect the various resources of the country like; Economic, environmental, socio-cultural and educational etc. It positively affects the economic growth and development of the country which includes various businesses of the country especially healthy tourism business like: accommodation (hotels), transportation, arts, entertainment, wildlife etc. Tourism in our country is a new source of job for many people and revenue for the country.
It has notably improved the lifestyle of many local residents in the most visited destinations. The value of basic goods is increased by the local people during the traffic of tourist places. People from developed countries come to developing countries for tourism, however, people from developing countries do not go for tourism to developed countries due to low income levels. Tourism in developing countries is also high due to low prices and cheap travel packages. However, tourism in the country has positive as well as negative effects.
Tourism in the country, first of all, affects the environment around the tourist places due to the accumulation of garbage on a large scale like – bottles, plastic waste, food items etc. It affects the lifestyle of both fauna and flora. It also raises the issue of safety and security of tourists at all tourist places in the country.
In order to attract tourists from abroad, the government of the country needs to invest some money to make tourist places attractive, safe for tourists. There is a need to hire some professional guides to guide the tourists from other countries properly about the tourist place. Tourist places also need to provide some common facilities like proper environment, comfortable hotels, arrangement of cars-taxis, 24 hours electricity supply, clean water supply etc.

Tourism is a very important source of economic development of the country. However, there is a need to invest before the tourist destinations are aimed at making them cleaner, more attractive, safe for tourists.
If we analyze the level of tourism in the country, then a question arises that what have we done to promote tourism in our country? Have we maintained proper cleanliness and hygiene in all the villages, towns and cities of the country? Other tourist places in India are Srinagar, Shimla, Goa, Coorg, Ooty, Darjeeling, Varanasi, Mahabaleshwar, Pune, Gangtok, Imphal, Kaziranga, Kashmir, Kanyakumari, Kerala, Ajanta Ellora, Leh/Ladakh, etc. However, a lot of efforts are still to be done to improve the level of tourism in India so that we can attract more tourists to our country and give them beautiful memories from India tourism for a lifetime.
People of high status in India usually prefer to spend their holidays in London, New York or other Swiss countries, however, the middle class people of the society always like to have fun at the tourist places of their own country. Our country is the most targeted country for tourism in the whole world despite many problems, so travel and tourism in India should be promoted more.

As we all know that India is a very famous country for its amazing travel and tourist destinations all over the world. Tourism in any country plays a very important role in the economic growth and development of that country. If we look at tourism in India, it is the second largest earning source of India through foreign exchange by foreign tourists.
A large percentage of people’s lives in India depend only on tourism because in India, a large number of people, both skilled and unskilled, are engaged in the tourism industry. Tourism in any country promotes national reciprocity and international brotherhood.
Our country is full of many beautiful and attractive places both naturally and culturally which fascinates the people coming from all over the world. Our country is one of those countries which have rich historical heritage, heritage, monuments, forts, beaches, religious places, hill stations, hill stations, etc. attracts people from all corners of the world to come to India. India is known for unity in diversity which is rich in people from different cultures, traditions, and religions which is a big reason for good tourism here.

Establishment of Tourism Advisory Board has been recommended to promote tourism and tourist numbers in the country. Indian tourism is affected on a large scale due to terrorism, insecurity and pollution, however, sincere efforts are being made by the Indian government to promote the tourism industry in India. It is one of the fastest growing industries and is playing an important role in the economic development of the country.
Our country is the most famous country in the whole of Asia continent for its tourist places where a huge crowd of people come here despite many troubles. Our country is naturally surrounded by (the Himalayan mountain range on one side and the Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean on the other three) which provides a wide range of tourist destinations.
The availability of many diverse geographical scenes, places, things and celebrations in India enthralls the tourists every year such as; Monuments, Museums, Forts, Sanctuaries, Religious Places, Palaces, Handicrafts, Fairs, Festivals, Classical and Folk Dance, Music, Language, Agra, Jaipur, Jhansi, Nalanda, Mysore, Hyderabad, Mahabaleshwar, Delhi, Aurangabad, Ujjain, Shirdi, Haridwar, Varanasi, Puri, Allahabad, Amritsar, Ajmer, Vaishno Devi, Badrinath, Rameshwaram, Kedarnath, Srinagar, Manali, Kullu, Dehradun, Darjeeling, Nainital, Ooty, Shimla, Kashmir etc.
Variety of interesting activities like: water sports, sailing, scuba diving, rafting, skiing, mountaineering, houseboat, winter sports, etc. promote tourism in India. To encourage people to take up tourism, a campaign named ‘Incredible India’ was started by the Tourism Development Corporation of India (ITDC) in 2005. To promote tourism in India, tourist places are also divided under departments, such as- Spiritual tourism, ‘Eco-tourism’, ‘Spa tourism’, and ‘Adventure tourism’ etc.
Pollution in India has affected Indian tourism in a big way, for example, we can see the current condition of the Taj Mahal in Agra, only because of the negligence of the concerned authorities, the waste of Mathura Refinery can affect the Taj Mahal stones in Agra.
