Knowledge is Power but Long and Short Speech on Knowledge is Power in Hindi
Dear Friends – Greetings to all of you! Hope you all are healthy and happy.
Today I am here to deliver a speech on the topic “Knowledge is Power”. I hope everyone present here will be familiar with this topic and agree with it as well. There is no greater power than the power of knowledge. Knowledge, as we all know, is actually freedom. Education lays the foundation of progress in every family and in every society. It gives power to the nation and allows its people to rule over time. If a person is knowledgeable then he will be able to change the situation, event or a person for the matter in his favor. A person’s ability, talent or ability to perform is completely dependent on his level of understanding, education and knowledge. Therefore knowledge is a prerequisite for success.
Since time immemorial, human beings have been able to place themselves at the top of the list of living beings, including the natural objects of the world, who have earned it all with the power of their knowledge. Not only our planet Earth but man has been able to conquer the sky and the sea as well. He has been able to go deep into the womb of the earth and has managed to find the riches. He has been effectively using water, wind and other natural elements to work on his machinery.
It is through our own deep scientific knowledge that we have been able to solve various mysteries of nature. The origin of science was started during the early times when man invented fire and learned to use it for various purposes. Since then there has been no looking back in the field of science and technology and tremendous progress has been made in it.
Through the understanding of various knowledge of science man is able to conquer diseases and also managed to cure those diseases. It has not only increased the life span of man on this earth but also made his life more comfortable. It has provided man with a high level of material progress. It has brought the whole world so close that the human races living in different remote parts of the world have come in contact with each other. It has turned the world into a global community.
It hasn’t always been so good or ideal though. Due to economic development two classes of people have been created i.e. rich and poor. Worse, it has become a cause of exploitation of the poor at the hands of the rich class. This is not the end. Knowledge has empowered man through the manufacture of lethal weapons. Two devastating wars in the last century have taught man that the weapons stored in man’s arsenal can turn this beautiful world into a morgue.
So it is up to us how we use the wealth of education or knowledge – be it for the good of mankind or its destruction.
Respected Principal, Vice-Principal, Teachers and my dear friends – Good morning to everyone from my side!
First of all I would like to thank our Principal and teachers for giving me this wonderful opportunity to speak on the topic “Knowledge is Power”. As a student I can fully feel the power of knowledge because what I am doing today was not what I am 2 years ago and I am not what I will be two years from now. I am constantly evolving and making myself a better person intellectually with the power of knowledge. Now I have a better understanding of this world and can understand the spirit of this universe better than I wanted to do it before.
By Shakti I do not mean that it is the power to destroy someone but the power of light and knowledge shows us the right path and helps us to understand the science behind the working of this universe. How does the sun shine, how do the stars shine, how does it rain etc. Through the knowledge of how this natural world works we are able to enjoy our existence on this earth otherwise without education we will remain in darkness of ignorance or illiteracy.
Thus knowledge is defined as the information and skills acquired through education and experience. From time immemorial every person is restless to gain supremacy over this world or to rule intellectually over other people. Therefore this power should not or should not be limited to physical power.
Friends, I tell you that knowledge is stronger than physical strength because physical strength can fail once but not intellectual power. Apart from this, physical strength does not stay with you for a lifetime, but the power of knowledge remains. Knowledge helps to solve mysteries and find rational explanations of things in this world. Knowledge enables us to understand the science behind the working of nature.
In ancient times people did not have the necessary knowledge about the working of this world or various aspects of nature. They were living in an animal-like state where they did not even know about the place in which they were living. They could not understand the flow of nature. They were afraid of wild animals and felt helpless and scared by even small incidents of natural calamities like floods, storms, earthquakes etc. Because of this situation, they used to move from one place to another for a safe place.
However in the present times the situation has changed a lot and we are no longer ignorant. Man is able to gain much experience from the great wealth of knowledge and rich experience that our ancestors have left behind in the form of books and scriptures. We are now well aware of our world, nature and other things that happen every day and night. Since we are empowered with knowledge we can control animals and make them productive for mankind. Knowledge has actually given us enough power to reach out to other planets and go to the moon and find cures for various deadly diseases.
Now I request my friends to share their thoughts and bring forward their valuable points.
Dear Viewers – Greetings to all of you! Thank you all for making your presence felt in this speech event in large numbers. I am extremely excited and grateful to all of you for your contribution in every possible way towards educating underprivileged children.
Today I am here to deliver a speech on “Knowledge is Power” so that more and more people can realize the importance of education and send their children to school – be it male or female and help other children too. Those who do not have money to go to school.
I am sure you all know the saying that knowledge is power. A person who is knowledgeable can think logically and take right decisions. This gives them the power to control the future course of action and review its future development. If not more we associate powers with people who are physically well built or have great influence in society because of their wealth. When two warriors fight, we definitely believe that the stronger one will win, similarly the country which has a bigger army in the war has a higher chance of winning.
However if we think deeply then we will come to know that knowledge makes a person more powerful and not physical strength. Knowledge plays an important role but without knowledge physical skill is like a blind person who cannot face a person with sharp eyes.
The side which has a strong army in a fight has an advantage without a doubt but this advantage can be unsuccessful if the army in the opposition has a leader who has a deep knowledge of the strategy of war. Take for example Alexander who managed to defeat large armies with only a group of Greek soldiers who had to fight from their own homeland. This was due to Alexander’s grand talent or his leadership qualities. But what was this leadership related to? It was all because of the quickness of movement, strength and mental prowess.
The main virtue of Alexander was thorough knowledge of the men of his army, knowledge of his enemy country and its strength, strategies as well as war tactics. This is a surefire way to achieve success in a war and Alexander had enough intelligence to figure it out. Other factors also play an important role but knowledge is supreme.
How knowledge ensures that the growing power of man can be felt around him or in the natural environment. In ancient times man had no knowledge of nature and the hills and trees were believed to be inhabited by fairies and spirits. They believed in gods and ghosts and were inactive themselves but now times have changed and man has been successful in solving various mysteries which were hidden in the womb of the earth and increasing the control of the natural forces in the day-to-day life of man. can be seen.
Man has invented electrical energy and now he flies in the air and floats on the sea. He is no longer afraid at the slightest natural calamity because he knows how to overcome them. He has now built dams and bridges over rivers to convert water electricity into electrical energy or to use the water for irrigation and factories and mills.
Thus knowledge is a boon to humanity provided it is used for creative purposes.
Respected parents and my dear friends – Greetings from all of you!
Before starting my speech on “Knowledge is power” allow me to thank all the parents in this function to bring the children out of their comfortable lives and spread the light of knowledge to educate the underprivileged children. Give it Nothing can be better than giving the gift of knowledge to poor children and young people.
Poverty itself is a disease. We cannot eradicate poverty from our country by simply taking money out of our pockets by giving it to the poor or providing food to their empty stomachs once, unless we reach to the root cause of this problem and solve it. We see everyday that many poor families are illiterate or can barely read and write. Since they do not have enough money to send their children to school, they make their children work to earn less money and thus their next generation also suffer from the pain of poverty and are deprived of knowledge.
Thus it becomes our responsibility as educated global citizens to spread the knowledge around us and educate others so that poverty is completely eradicated. If we have the knowledge we can have the power to influence the world in a better way and help others in other ways. Knowledge also develops our self-esteem and makes us more aware of ourselves – how we should behave and interact with others in our community. In other words knowledge makes us a rational human being.
As it is said that with knowledge comes power i.e. the power to understand what is right and what is wrong. We must also be prepared for bad results if we take the wrong path or the risky path. However if one lives in the darkness of illiteracy then how will he realize the importance of light i.e. knowledge! It remains a fair question.
Knowledge is not about getting formal education but it is a combination of education, skill and experience. It can also be in the form of abstract knowledge like mathematicians use. Otherwise it could be a carpenter or even an engineer who uses their practical knowledge. Thirdly it can also be a form of experience where a person is able to find his own way and solve real time problems and the most powerful person will be the person who possesses these three qualities.
Another thing I would like to say is that knowledge allows us to be free and makes us free. Freedom is really necessary to have real power. Second, it also means that we are not to exercise our power over others and bring them under our control. Thus knowledge not only empowers us but also helps us in empowering others and makes every place a heaven to live in. that’s all I can say.
